Legal
Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 26 August 2026
These terms cover use of oakivycoffeehouse.com. They are website terms of use for a café that does not sell online. In-person food and drink sales are separate and follow UK consumer law in the café. This page is a practical template, not legal advice.
1. Who we are
This site is operated by Oak & Ivy Coffee House, 6a Tobermore Rd, Draperstown, Magherafelt BT45 7AG, Northern Ireland. Opening hours: Monday–Saturday 9:00–15:30; Sunday closed.
2. Using the website
By browsing this site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
You may use the site for lawful, personal purposes — viewing the menu, finding us, downloading the menu PDF and following links to our social pages. You must not misuse the site (for example by attempting to break security, scraping content at scale, or introducing malware).
3. No online shop
This website does not take payments, delivery orders or table bookings. Nothing on the site is an offer capable of immediate online acceptance. A contract for food or drink is formed in the café when we accept your order.
If we later add online ordering, we will publish extra terms that meet the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including clear pricing and cancellation information where those rules apply.
4. Menu, prices and allergens
The online menu is a guide. Items, prices and availability can change and may differ from the printed menu or counter specials. Photographs are illustrative.
If you have an allergy or intolerance, please speak to a member of staff before ordering. We handle allergens carefully but our kitchen is a shared space and we cannot guarantee the absence of traces. Do not rely only on the website for allergen decisions.
5. Intellectual property
The Oak & Ivy name, logos, photographs and site design are owned by us or used with permission. You may not copy them for commercial use without written consent. You may share links to the site.
6. Third-party links and embeds
Links to Google Maps, Google Reviews, Instagram and Facebook leave our site. Their terms and privacy notices apply. The map embed loads only if you allow embedded content in cookie settings.
7. Accuracy and availability
We try to keep hours, address and menu information current. The site may be unavailable from time to time for maintenance or hosting issues. We do not warrant that the site is error-free.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that UK law does not allow us to exclude.
For website use, we are not liable for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses if you use the site for commercial purposes. The café’s duties when serving food and drink are those required by UK consumer and food safety law and are not limited by this web page.
9. Privacy
How we handle personal data is explained in the Privacy Policy, Cookies Policy and GDPR & Your Rights pages. Accepting these website terms is not the same as consenting to optional cookies. Cookie consent is collected separately, as PECR requires.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. The “last updated” date will change. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Northern Ireland. The courts of Northern Ireland have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have in your place of residence.
